A slip-on left or right front cab floor support designed for 1960–1972 Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks. This structural brace fits over the cab floor edge to secure and align the floor pan, prevent sagging and vibration, and restore original rigidity. Built from heavy-gauge steel with a corrosion-resistant finish and precision-formed to match OE contours, it provides durable, reliable support and is engineered for straightforward installation during restoration or repair projects.
Features:
  • Fits 1960–1972 Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks (left or right front cab floor support).
  • Made from heavy-gauge steel with a corrosion-resistant finish to resist rust and last through restorations.
  • Slip-on design secures and aligns the cab floor, reducing vibration, sagging, and potential panel damage.
  • Precision-formed to match OE contours for accurate fit and proper load distribution.
  • Ideal for restoration or replacement applications; restores structural integrity with minimal modification required.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 1-2 hours per side
Suggested Tools:
  • Jack and jack stands or vehicle lift
  • Basic hand tools (socket set, screwdrivers, pliers)
  • Wire brush or grinder (for rust/paint removal)
  • Clamps or vice-grips
  • Drill with metal bits
  • MIG welder or spot welder (optional, recommended for permanent install)
  • Self-tapping sheet metal screws (if not welding)
  • Seam sealer / corrosion inhibitor
  • Rust-inhibiting primer and paint
  • Safety gear (gloves, eye protection, welding mask if welding)
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the vehicle: park on a level surface, engage parking brake, disconnect the battery, and raise/support the truck securely.
  2. Remove interior components (seat, carpet, trim) as needed to access the front cab floor edge.
  3. Clean and prep the installation area: remove rust, loose paint, and debris with a wire brush or grinder; treat with rust inhibitor.
  4. Test-fit the support on the appropriate side to confirm orientation and fitment; ensure the slip-on lip engages the floor edge evenly.
  5. Clamp the support in place and check alignment with adjacent panels. Make any minor adjustments for a flush fit.
  6. Secure the support: for a permanent repair, spot or plug weld the support at factory-type locations. If welding is not used, fasten with evenly spaced self-tapping sheet metal screws and reinforce with adhesive/seam sealer as needed.
  7. Apply seam sealer to all seams and coat exposed metal with rust-inhibiting primer and paint to protect the repair.
  8. Reinstall interior components, lower the vehicle, and perform a final inspection for secure fitment and proper alignment.
