The Tail Lamp Assembly – RH is an OE-style exterior lighting restoration component designed for 1947–1953 Chevrolet and GMC Advance Design pickup trucks, including 3100 and 3600 models. This right-hand (passenger side) assembly restores the factory-correct rear lighting appearance and mounting configuration used on original post-war Chevy and GMC trucks.
Manufactured as an exact-fit reproduction, this tail lamp assembly features a stainless steel housing formed to match original factory dimensions, contour, and mounting profile. Advance Design trucks rely on distinct rear lamp styling, and proper housing shape and alignment are essential for maintaining an authentic restoration. This reproduction assembly is engineered to mount in the original rear location, maintaining correct placement relative to the bedside and rear fender area.
Over time, original tail lamp housings often become pitted, rusted, dented, or replaced with incorrect aftermarket versions. Installing a correct OE-style reproduction restores the clean, period-correct appearance expected in a proper restoration. The stainless housing provides durability while preserving the classic factory look used on 1947–1953 trucks.
This assembly is intended for stock restorations and accurate rear lighting refurbishment projects where proper fit, material quality, and factory-style construction are required.

Each time a prototype body panel comes off of a new tooling, we test fit it on a car. The marked up prototype is then used to change and improve the tools, and a new prototype is produced. This procedure might be repeated multiple times but, once the part is finally approved, you can be assured of a quality part.
