Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and work in a dry, shaded area. Gather tools and new weatherstrip.
- If present, carefully remove interior or exterior trim pieces that cover the roof rail using a trim tool or screwdriver. Keep fasteners organized.
- Remove the old weatherstrip by gently prying it out of the channel. Take care not to damage the roof rail or surrounding paint.
- Clean the roof rail channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or a mild solvent to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils. Allow surface to dry.
- Test-fit the new right-hand weatherstrip along the rail to confirm orientation and fit. Trim any excess if necessary using scissors or a utility knife.
- Apply a thin bead of weatherstrip cement along the channel if recommended for your vehicle. Start at the front and align the seal, pressing it firmly into the channel as you work toward the rear.
- Use masking tape to hold the weatherstrip in position where necessary while adhesive sets. Re-install any trim pieces and fasteners you removed.
- Allow the adhesive to cure per the manufacturer’s instructions (typically 1–24 hours) before exposing the seal to water or driving at high speeds.
- Perform a final inspection and water test (low-pressure spray) to confirm there are no leaks and the seal is seated evenly.
