A complete hardware kit engineered to restore and secure the heater box on 1955-1956 Chevy Deluxe models. This set includes the screws, washers and fasteners needed to replace worn or missing hardware and re-establish factory-fit mounting for the heater assembly. Designed for restoration and maintenance, the corrosion-resistant plated components provide reliable clamping force, reduce vibration, and simplify reassembly for a long-lasting fit that maintains original alignment.
Features:
  • Fits 1955-1956 Chevy Deluxe models (heater box mounting hardware replacement).
  • Includes screws, flat and lock washers, and necessary fasteners for heater box attachment.
  • Corrosion-resistant plated hardware for improved durability in vintage vehicles.
  • Restores secure factory-style mounting to reduce vibration and rattles.
  • Easy to install with basic hand tools; ideal for restorations and maintenance.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 45-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Phillips and flat-blade screwdrivers
  • Socket set or nut drivers (common SAE sizes)
  • Ratchet and extensions
  • Pliers
  • Penetrating oil (if removing old hardware)
  • Thread locker (medium strength, optional)
  • Torque wrench (recommended)
Instructions:
  1. Disconnect the battery and ensure the vehicle is safe to work on.
  2. Access the heater box by removing the lower dash panel or glove box as required for your model.
  3. Apply penetrating oil to any old fasteners and remove existing screws, nuts, and washers.
  4. Clean mounting surfaces and threaded holes of debris and corrosion. Repair or chase threads if necessary.
  5. Position the heater box in its mounting location and align the holes with the chassis or mounting brackets.
  6. Install the new screws with corresponding flat and lock washers in the same locations as the originals.
  7. Hand-start all fasteners to ensure correct alignment, then tighten progressively and evenly. Use a torque wrench to manufacturer spec if available; otherwise tighten to a snug, secure fit without over-torquing.
  8. If desired, apply medium-strength thread locker to the threads on fasteners subject to vibration.
  9. Reinstall dash panels or glove box and reconnect the battery.
  10. Test fitment by running the heater blower and checking for vibration, movement, or unusual noises; re-check fastener tightness after initial heat/cool cycles.
