Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and wear safety gear. Remove interior trim panels to access the rear corner glass from inside the vehicle.
- Carefully cut and remove the old glass and remaining adhesive using wire or a cold knife; use suction cups to support the pane while cutting to prevent breakage.
- Clean the pinch weld and surrounding flange thoroughly, removing old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion. Wipe with solvent and allow to dry.
- Apply pinch-weld primer to bare metal and glass primer to the mounting edge of the new glass if required by adhesive manufacturer; allow primer flash time per instructions.
- Run a continuous, even bead of automotive urethane around the pinch weld flange using a caulking gun. Follow adhesive manufacturer recommendations for bead size.
- Using suction cups, place the new glass into position on the adhesive bead. Press firmly to seat the glass and align it to factory reference points. Tape in place if needed.
- Reinstall interior trim and allow adhesive to cure for the recommended time (minimum 24 hours for full cure). Avoid driving vehicle or exposing to high loads on the glass during cure period.
