OE-type right-hand rocker panel designed for 1982–1994 S-10, Sonoma and 2-door Blazer trucks. This direct-fit replacement panel restores the lower body’s structural integrity, protects against rust and road damage, and returns factory appearance after collision or corrosion repair. Manufactured from formed steel with factory-style flange locations and corrosion-resistant coating, it provides durable, long-lasting service and straightforward installation for restoration and maintenance projects.
Features:
  • Fits 1982–1994 Chevrolet S-10, GMC Sonoma and 2-door Blazer — right-hand (passenger) rocker panel.
  • OE-type formed steel construction for factory-correct shape and strength.
  • Pre-formed flange and locating features for accurate, direct fit replacement.
  • Pre-drilled/ready-to-weld areas to match factory weld locations.
  • Corrosion-resistant coating to help prevent future rust and extend service life.
  • Restoration-grade part ideal for rust repair, collision replacement, and body restoration projects.
  • Improves structural support, protects the vehicle sill from road debris and moisture.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 1–3 hours (one panel)
Suggested Tools:
  • Angle grinder with cutting wheel
  • Drill with spot-weld cutter or drill bits
  • MIG welder (or appropriate welding equipment)
  • Welding clamps and pliers
  • Hammer and dolly (body tools)
  • Measuring tape and marker
  • Grinder/flap disc for weld cleanup
  • Seam sealer and corrosion primer
  • Automotive paint and applicator
  • Protective gear (gloves, eye protection, respirator)
Instructions:
  1. Prepare vehicle: park on level surface, disconnect battery, remove door sill trim and any molding or components covering the rocker area.
  2. Assess damage and mark cut lines around the rusted/damaged section of the existing rocker panel; retain any undamaged portions you plan to reuse.
  3. Cut out the damaged metal carefully using an angle grinder or cut-off wheel; remove spot welds with a spot-weld cutter or drill as needed.
  4. Clean and prep mating surfaces: remove rust, paint, and debris to bare metal where the new panel will mate.
  5. Test-fit the new right-hand rocker panel: align factory flanges and check gaps at door jamb and wheelhouse; trim if necessary for a precise fit.
  6. Clamp the panel into place and verify fitment across all mounting points and along the door sill and inner structure.
  7. Weld the panel into position using factory-type plug/spot welds where provided; tack-weld first, then complete continuous or plug welds as appropriate to restore strength.
  8. Grind welds smooth and dress transitions; use hammer/dolly to fine-tune contours if required.
  9. Treat exposed metal with corrosion primer, apply seam sealer to all joints and seams, then prime and paint to match the vehicle finish.
  10. Reinstall door sill trim and any removed components, reconnect the battery, and inspect the repair for fit, finish, and watertightness.
