The factory processes were limited by technology in the mid-50s. Paint was the best option they had for the recesses in the Bel Air and Nomad paint dividers. They looked great when new, but quickly faded and flaked off with normal use. For restorers it is difficult to get a clean consistent finish in these areas, and their efforts frequently don't hold up over time. They are inexpensive, easy to install, and hold up great. We also have something the factory didn't - assorted colors. Simply clean the area with a non-oily solvent and paste them in. That's it! Order several sets in different colors if you want to change the look of your car from time-to-time. You can count on us for whatever you need for your Tri-5 Chevy, and lots of other great vehicles too.
