Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and protect painted surfaces with tape or cloth where needed.
- Remove any interior trim panels or fasteners that obstruct access to the underside of the backglass.
- Carefully pry out the old underside molding using a trim removal tool, taking care not to damage the glass or surrounding trim.
- Remove old adhesive and residue with adhesive remover and clean the contact surface with rubbing alcohol; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding along the underside of the backglass to verify alignment and clip engagement.
- If required, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the contact channel per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Press the new molding into place, engaging all retainers or clips along the length. Use masking tape to hold the molding securely while adhesive cures.
- Reinstall interior trim panels, remove masking tape after adhesive tack time, and inspect the seal. Perform a water check to ensure no leaks.
