Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a flat surface, engage the parking brake, and wear gloves and eye protection.
- Carefully remove the old windshield molding: use a trim tool and flat screwdriver to release clips or press-fit sections, and remove any retaining clips with needle-nose pliers.
- Clean the windshield flange and channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or an appropriate cleaner; remove old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion so the new molding seats properly.
- Test-fit the new molding along the windshield to confirm orientation and clip alignment before final installation.
- If recommended, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or molding contact points following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at one corner, press the molding into place along the windshield edge, working slowly and evenly so the molding seats into the channel and clips engage.
- Secure any separate clips or retainers included with the molding and use masking tape to hold the molding in place while adhesive cures, if used.
- Allow any adhesive to cure for the recommended time, remove masking tape, and inspect the installation for gaps or loose sections. Confirm a uniform seal and proper appearance.
