The Precision Lockstrip Joint Clip LJC 1135 C is a durable replacement clip designed to secure and align automotive lockstrip joints and trim sections. Built to resist corrosion and maintain a tight, rattle-free fit, this clip is ideal for restoration and maintenance projects on a wide range of classic and modern vehicles. It prevents trim separation, reduces vibration and water intrusion at seam joints, and provides an easy, reliable alternative to worn or missing original clips.

Installation / Application:

Suggested Tools:
  • flathead screwdriver or trim panel tool
  • needle-nose pliers
  • clean cloth and solvent (degreaser)
  • rubber mallet (optional)
  • safety gloves
Instructions:
  1. Carefully remove any damaged or remaining old clip material and loosen the adjacent trim to expose the lockstrip joint.
  2. Clean the mounting area with a cloth and solvent to remove dirt, old adhesive, and corrosion for a secure fit.
  3. Position the lockstrip edges together and align the joint so the clip seats over both mating sections.
  4. Place the LJC 1135 C clip over the joint and press firmly until the clip snaps into place; use a rubber mallet for light taps if needed to seat fully.
  5. Check the trim alignment and ensure there is no gap or movement; repeat for additional clips as required.
  6. If desired, apply a small amount of compatible sealant where needed to prevent water intrusion and improve longevity.
