Verify vehicle fitment for your specific make, model, and year before purchase.
Features:
- OEM-style 5-piece kit designed to replace worn or damaged windshield moldings.
- Durable materials with corrosion-resistant channels and flexible rubber seals for long service life.
- Seals windshield edge to prevent leaks, reduce wind noise, and protect paint.
- Restoration-grade fit and finish to restore original appearance.
- Straightforward installation with common hand tools — ideal for DIY or professional replacement.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a flat surface and protect surrounding paint with tape or cloths.
- Carefully remove the old moldings: use a plastic trim tool to pry trim away from the windshield channel and remove any retaining clips or fasteners.
- Cut and scrape away old adhesive, sealant, and debris from the windshield channel using a razor blade or gasket scraper; clean surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
- Dry-fit each new molding piece to confirm orientation and fit before applying any adhesive or clips.
- If required, apply a thin bead of butyl or recommended windshield molding adhesive to the channel per adhesive instructions. Some kits press-fit without adhesive; confirm per part specifics.
- Starting at one corner, seat the molding into the channel and press firmly along its length. Use a rubber mallet and block or gloved hand to evenly set the molding into position without damaging the finish.
- Reinstall any retaining clips or trim screws removed during disassembly and verify all pieces are uniformly seated and aligned.
- Allow any applied adhesive or sealant to cure per manufacturer recommendations before driving; perform a water test to check for leaks and adjust as needed.
