It prevents wind noise, reduces water intrusion, and restores the finished appearance of the windshield opening. Constructed from durable, automotive-grade materials with a corrosion-resistant finish, this top molding provides long-lasting protection and helps maintain proper windshield alignment and trim integrity. Easy to install for most DIYers or professional installers, it’s an ideal part for restoration, collision repair, or routine maintenance.
Features:
- Repair or restoration-grade top windshield molding to restore factory appearance.
- Made from durable, automotive-grade materials with a corrosion-resistant finish.
- Secures the top edge of the windshield to reduce wind noise and prevent water leaks.
- Direct-replacement form for accurate fit and consistent trim alignment.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, set parking brake, and protect painted surfaces with masking tape or cloth.
- Carefully remove the old top molding: use a plastic trim tool to pry out molding and disengage any retaining clips or fasteners. Remove screws or clips if present.
- Inspect the windshield channel and remove any old adhesive, rust, or debris. Clean the channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or an appropriate cleaner and allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding along the windshield edge to confirm orientation and fit. Trim excess if necessary according to vehicle-specific contours.
- If vehicle requires adhesive or primer, apply adhesive promoter/primer to the channel per product instructions and allow tack time as directed.
- Align the new molding at one corner of the windshield and press it firmly into the channel, working along the top edge and engaging any clips. Use even pressure to seat the molding fully.
- If clips or screws were removed, reinstall them to secure the molding. Use masking tape to hold molding in position during adhesive cure if adhesive was used.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations, then remove masking tape and clean surrounding trim. Check for gaps and test for wind noise or water intrusion at lower speeds or with a light spray.
