Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and protect surrounding paint and interior with drop cloths or tape.
- Carefully remove any trim, molding, or clips that secure the old weatherstrip using plastic trim tools to avoid damaging paint.
- Pull out the old weatherstrip and clean the bonding surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol; remove old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion.
- Test-fit new weatherstrip pieces around the windshield to confirm orientation and trimming needs before applying adhesive.
- Apply a thin, even bead of automotive weatherstrip adhesive to the windshield flange or to the weatherstrip where specified by the adhesive instructions.
- Seat the weatherstrip into place, starting at one corner and working around the windshield. Use masking tape to hold the seal while adhesive sets if needed.
- Trim any excess material with a utility knife for a clean edge and reinstall exterior trim and molding.
- Allow adhesive to cure per the manufacturer's recommendations (typically 1–24 hours) before driving and check for gaps or leaks after initial cure.
