Left Hand Foot Well replacement for 1973–1987 Chevrolet trucks. This direct-fit foot well panel restores the driver-side lower interior body section, replaces corroded or damaged metal, and returns structural support to the cab floor. Manufactured to match factory contours and mounting points, it helps prevent water intrusion and future rust while providing a solid base for carpet and interior trim. Built for durability and ease of installation, this panel is ideal for restorations and structural repairs where OEM fit and finish are required.
Features:
  • Fits 1973–1987 Chevrolet truck models (driver/left-hand foot well).
  • Stamped steel construction matched to original factory contours for accurate fit.
  • Corrosion-resistant primer finish for added protection and easy painting.
  • Restores structural integrity and prevents water intrusion and rust spread.
  • Designed for welding or plug-riveting; accepts OEM fasteners and trim reattachment.
  • Ideal for frame-off restorations, rust repair projects, and preserving interior mounting points.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 1–3 hours (depending on rust removal and welding)
Suggested Tools:
  • Angle grinder or cutoff tool
  • Spot weld cutter or drill with metal bits
  • Welder (MIG) or rivet gun and self-tapping fasteners
  • Clamps and vise-grips
  • Body hammer and dolly (if needed)
  • Seam sealer and rust inhibitor
  • Primer and paint
  • Protective gear (gloves, eye protection, respirator)
Instructions:
  1. Assess the damaged area and test-fit the replacement panel to verify alignment and overlap.
  2. Remove the old, rusted, or damaged foot well metal: grind welds, drill out spot welds, or cut away patch sections as needed.
  3. Clean and prepare surrounding metal: remove rust, scale, and paint to bare metal; treat with rust inhibitor.
  4. Trial fit the new panel, trimming any interference and ensuring mounting holes line up with factory points.
  5. Secure the panel in place with clamps; finish fit until gaps and seams match factory contours.
  6. Attach the panel by plug welding into existing spot weld locations or use rivets/self-tapping fasteners if preferred; weld seams as required for structural strength.
  7. Grind welds smooth, apply seam sealer to all joints, and prime bare metal surfaces.
  8. Finish with primer and paint to match the interior, then reinstall carpet, trim, and any removed components.
