This Rear Right Corner Bedside Repair Panel restores the rear right bed corner of 1973-1991 Chevy pickups and Blazers by replacing rusted or damaged sheetmetal with a precision-formed panel.   • Seam sealer, body filler, primer, and paint
  • Safety gear (gloves, eye protection, respirator)
Instructions:
  1. Test-fit the panel to verify alignment with the bed and adjacent panels; mark overlap and trim lines.
  2. Remove the damaged or rusted section by cutting along the marked lines; preserve as much undamaged metal as possible.
  3. Prepare mating surfaces by cleaning back to bare metal; remove rust, paint, and contaminants; treat with rust inhibitor if required.
  4. Fit the replacement panel, clamp securely, and make any small edge adjustments for an even gap and proper panel line.
  5. Tack-weld the panel in several places to hold fitment, re-check alignment, then complete continuous welds as appropriate.
  6. Grind welds smooth, blend seams carefully, and apply seam sealer to exposed joints to prevent moisture intrusion.
  7. Apply metal primer to all bare welded areas, then complete body filler, sanding, primer, and paint to match the vehicle finish.
  8. Inspect the finished repair for structural soundness and proper drainage; reassemble any removed bed components.
