Left-hand roof rail weatherstrip for 4-door hardtop vehicles (RWL 1510 63). Designed to restore the roof-to-door seal, it prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise and vibration, and helps maintain interior comfort and trim alignment. Made from weather-resistant rubber with an OEM-style profile, this seal provides reliable long-term performance and a straightforward replacement for worn or missing roof rail weatherstrips.
Features:
- Fits 1963 4-door hardtop models — left-hand (driver side) roof rail, part RWL 1510 63.
- High-quality weather-resistant rubber for durable sealing against water and drafts.
- OEM-style profile for accurate fit and proper trim alignment.
- Reduces wind noise, vibration, and interior water leaks.
- Direct replacement to restore sealing performance during restoration or routine maintenance.
- Easy to handle and install with common trim tools and adhesive where required.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and work in a dry, shaded area.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: pry out any retaining clips and pull the strip free. Use pliers for stubborn clips.
- Clean the roof rail channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the roof rail to ensure correct orientation and length. Trim excess if necessary, leaving a small overlap for finishing.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or back of the seal per adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at one end, press the weatherstrip into the channel, working along the rail and ensuring the seal seats into any retaining grooves. Use masking tape to hold the strip in place if needed.
- Reinstall any retaining clips or fasteners removed earlier. Trim and tuck the ends for a neat finish.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product directions (usually several hours) before exposing to weather or driving at high speeds.
