Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip: carefully pry away existing seal from the roof rail and detach any retainers or clips. Keep track of hardware.
- Clean the mounting surface: remove adhesive residue, dirt, and grease using rubbing alcohol or a suitable cleaner; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new seals: align left and right seals along the roof rails to confirm orientation and fit before applying adhesive.
- Apply adhesive (if required): follow the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions and apply a thin, even bead to the mounting flange or rail.
- Position the seal: starting at one end, press the weatherstrip firmly into place along the rail, ensuring the seal seats into any retainers or channels. Work toward the opposite end, smoothing as you go.
- Secure while curing: use masking tape to hold the weatherstrip in position if needed while adhesive sets. Replace any clips or retainers removed earlier.
- Trim excess and finish: trim any overhang with a utility knife for a clean edge; double-check the seal for smooth, continuous contact.
- Allow adhesive to cure fully per product instructions before closing doors or exposing to moisture.
