This 8-piece beltline molding and glass run channel kit (left and right hand) provides a complete restoration solution for worn or damaged door window seals and trim. Designed to secure and align the door glass while protecting the bodywork from water and wind intrusion, the chrome-finished moldings restore the exterior appearance and maintain proper window operation. The kit improves sealing, reduces wind noise and vibration, and offers durable, corrosion-resistant components for long-lasting reliability and straightforward replacement during restoration or maintenance projects.
Features:
- 8-piece kit includes left- and right-hand beltline moldings and glass run channels.
- Chrome finish resists corrosion and restores original exterior appearance.
- Secures and aligns door glass while improving sealing and reducing wind noise.
- Durable metal moldings and resilient channel materials for long-term reliability.
- Direct replacement parts ideal for restoration or routine maintenance.
- Designed for easy installation with common hand tools and basic mechanical skills.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours per door (depending on experience and door access)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, disconnect negative battery terminal if desired for safety.
- Remove the door panel and any interior trim necessary to access the window and existing beltline molding.
- Lower the window glass until the regulator allows access to the lower edge of the glass; support the glass with masking tape if needed.
- Carefully remove the old beltline molding and glass run channel components, noting fastener locations and clips.
- Clean the mounting area thoroughly, removing old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion; inspect the window edge and channel for damage.
- Test-fit the new channels and moldings to ensure correct orientation (left vs. right) and alignment.
- If required, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to secure channels, or lubricate channels with weatherstrip lubricant or soapy water for a press-fit installation.
- Install the glass run channel and beltline molding, seating clips and fasteners fully; use a rubber mallet gently if needed to engage trim without damage.
- Operate the window several times to confirm smooth movement and proper sealing; adjust as necessary.
- Reinstall the door panel and trim, remove masking tape, and perform a final check for fit, finish, and function.
