Complete weatherstrip seal kit designed specifically for vehicles that do not use a weatherstrip trim groove (CWK 1110 76). This kit supplies a full set of replacement seals to restore a tight, factory-like fit around doors, trunk openings and other body seams. Made from resilient EPDM-style rubber with molded profiles for a precision fit, the kit seals out water, dust and wind, reduces road noise and vibration, and protects interior trim and finishes. Durable, weather-resistant materials and straightforward installation make it ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance.
Features:
- Fitment: for models without a weatherstrip trim groove (CWK 1110 76) — verify profile compatibility with your vehicle.
- Complete kit includes all primary body and door seals needed to replace worn weatherstrips.
- Constructed from flexible, UV- and ozone-resistant rubber for long-term durability.
- Engineered profile provides a precision seal to prevent water leaks, drafts and road noise.
- Easy to install with basic hand tools — ideal for restoration and maintenance applications.
- Helps protect interior trim and metal surfaces from moisture and corrosion.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours (typical for a single door/trunk set; full vehicle time varies)
Instructions:
- Remove old weatherstrip: Carefully pry out the existing seals and any retainers using a trim tool or flat screwdriver. Take care not to damage the metal flange or paint.
- Clean the mounting surface: Remove old adhesive, dirt and residue with a cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Allow the surface to dry completely.
- Test-fit new pieces: Lay out and position each new seal without adhesive to confirm fit and orientation. Trim any pieces as needed before gluing.
- Apply adhesive: Follow the adhesive manufacturer's instructions. Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the seal flange or the vehicle channel as directed.
- Install seals: Starting at one end (top hinge area for doors), press the weatherstrip into place along the channel. Use firm, even pressure to seat the profile fully. Use masking tape to hold pieces in position if required while the adhesive sets.
- Handle corners and overlaps: For corners or butt-joins, compress the seals slightly and trim cleanly to create a tight seam. Use small clamps or tape to maintain alignment during cure.
- Allow adhesive to cure: Let the adhesive set for the recommended cure time before closing doors or exposing to water. Avoid heavy use until fully cured.
- Final check: Inspect for gaps or misalignment, make minor adjustments if needed, and test for proper door/trunk closing and seal compression.
