Instructions:
- Open the door and carefully remove the old weatherstrip. Use a trim tool or screwdriver to release clips; cut away any stubborn adhesive or damaged material with a utility knife.
- Thoroughly clean the mounting surface and channel with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, grease and old adhesive. Allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new left and right seals along the door edge to verify orientation and length. Trim excess material if needed, keeping cuts square and even.
- If adhesive is required for your door style, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting surface following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at one end, press the seal into place along the door edge or channel, working toward the other end. Use firm, even pressure and a rubber mallet or gloved hand to seat the profile fully.
- Use masking tape to hold the seal in position while any adhesive cures, if applicable. Wipe away any excess adhesive promptly with a clean cloth and solvent recommended by the adhesive maker.
- Close and open the door several times to ensure proper alignment and that the weatherstrip does not interfere with latch operation. Make final adjustments or trim as needed.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product directions before exposing the door to moisture or driving in wet conditions.
