The Precision Vent Rebuild Kit VRK 1110 73 is a comprehensive overhaul kit for vehicle vent assemblies. It replaces worn bushings, shafts, seals and linkages to restore smooth, rattle-free vent movement and reduce air leaks. Components are made from durable polymers, plated steel, and weather-resistant elastomers for long life and corrosion resistance. Designed for restoration and maintenance, the kit improves HVAC performance and cabin comfort while remaining straightforward to install with basic hand tools.

  • Light lubricant (silicone grease)
Instructions:
  1. Disconnect the vehicle battery if required for dash work and remove any trim panels to access the vent assembly.
  2. Remove screws or fasteners securing the vent housing and carefully extract the assembly from the dash.
  3. Document or photograph linkage orientations and control positions to ensure correct reassembly.
  4. Disassemble the vent assembly, removing old bushings, clips, shafts and seals. Keep small parts organized.
  5. Clean mating surfaces and linkage passages with a rag; remove grime and old grease.
  6. Install new bushings, seals and hardware from the kit in the same positions as the originals.
  7. Apply a light coating of silicone grease to moving parts and bushings to ensure smooth operation.
  8. Reassemble the vent assembly, verify linkages move freely and that controls return to expected positions.
  9. Bench-test the assembly by actuating the controls before reinstalling into the dash.
  10. Reinstall the vent housing and trim, secure fasteners, reconnect the battery (if disconnected) and perform a final operational check.
