The Precision Windshield Molding WFS D1160 R-100 is a direct-fit windshield trim designed to secure the glass, provide a weather-tight seal, and restore the original appearance of the windshield opening. It prevents water intrusion and wind noise while protecting the glass edge from chipping and corrosion. Designed to meet or exceed original equipment form and function, this molding offers durable materials and a precise profile for reliable long-term performance; confirm vehicle compatibility by cross-referencing the part number with your application.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5

Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and wear safety gear.
- Carefully remove the old molding: use a trim tool to pry up the edges and cut away any adhesive with a razor if needed.
- Clean the windshield flange and glass edge thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, old adhesive, and oils. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding around the windshield opening to verify orientation and fitment before final installation.
- If adhesive is recommended for your application, apply a thin, even bead to the flange per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at the top or a corner, press the molding into place along the windshield flange, working around the opening. Use masking tape to hold sections if necessary while you work.
- Use a rubber mallet or push firmly by hand to engage any internal retainers and ensure full seating of the molding.
- Trim any excess material cleanly with a utility blade and wipe away any adhesive smears immediately.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer's recommended time before driving or exposing to weather.
