Direct-fit right-hand foot well replacement for 1973-1987 Chevy trucks. Designed to restore the factory floor geometry, this panel protects the passenger-side foot area from corrosion, provides a solid mounting surface for carpet and trim, and returns structural integrity to the cab floor. Built for restoration and repair jobs, it delivers durable protection, long-term reliability, and a straightforward fit to speed up installation.
Features:
  • Fitment: Direct-fit for 1973-1987 Chevy truck (right-hand passenger foot well).
  • Stamped steel construction with a corrosion-resistant coating for long life.
  • Restores floor geometry and structural integrity in the right foot area.
  • Prevents moisture intrusion and future rust in common trouble spots.
  • Direct replacement that reduces fabrication — ideal for restorations and repairs.
  • Designed for easy alignment with existing mounting points and carpet trim.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 1-3 hours
Suggested Tools:
  • Socket set and ratchet
  • Screwdrivers and pliers
  • Angle grinder or cutoff tool (for removal of rusted metal)
  • Drill with spot-weld cutter or drill bits
  • Welding equipment or self-tapping screws / rivets
  • Seam sealer and primer/paint
  • Protective gear (gloves, eye protection)
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the vehicle: disconnect the battery, remove seats, carpet, and trim to fully expose the damaged foot well area.
  2. Assess and remove corrosion: cut away the rusted or damaged section using an angle grinder or cutoff tool. Remove any spot welds or fasteners as needed.
  3. Test-fit the new foot well panel: position the replacement panel in place and verify alignment with surrounding panels and mounting points.
  4. Trim or adjust as necessary for a precise fit, ensuring panel edges mate tightly to adjoining metal.
  5. Attach the panel: secure using welds where original panels were welded or use rivets/self-tapping screws if preferred. Maintain proper gap and alignment during fastening.
  6. Seal and protect seams: apply seam sealer to all joints, then prime and paint the repaired area to prevent future corrosion.
  7. Reinstall interior: allow coatings to cure, then replace carpet, trim, and seats. Reconnect the battery and verify fit and finish.
