A precision-engineered door bumper designed to cushion and locate the door on 2-door coupe bodies (BMP 003). This bumper prevents metal-to-metal contact, reduces vibration and noise, and protects paint and trim from repeated impact. Made from a durable elastomer with a reinforced mounting core, it restores proper door alignment and provides long-lasting, reliable performance with simple installation—ideal for restoration or maintenance projects.

Suggested Tools:
  • Flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool
  • Pliers (for stubborn old bumpers)
  • Cleaning cloth
  • Rubbing alcohol or mild cleaner
  • Lubricant (optional, silicone spray)
Instructions:
  1. Open the door and locate the existing door bumper on the door jamb or striker area.
  2. If present, remove the old bumper by prying gently with a flat-head screwdriver or pulling straight out with pliers. Take care not to damage the mounting surface.
  3. Clean the mounting hole or surface with a cloth and rubbing alcohol to remove dirt, grease, and debris. Allow to dry.
  4. Compare the new bumper to the old one to confirm orientation and mounting style (push-fit or threaded).
  5. If push-fit: align the bumper core with the mounting hole and press it firmly into place until fully seated. If threaded: install and tighten the retaining screw or clip per the original hardware.
  6. Cycle the door slowly to confirm the bumper cushions and aligns the door correctly. Make any minor adjustments to position as needed.
  7. Re-check after a few door cycles and retighten or reseat if necessary.
