Instructions:
- Open the door and locate the existing door bumper on the door jamb or striker area.
- If replacing an old bumper, apply penetrating lubricant and pry or pull the old bumper out using a flathead screwdriver or pliers.
- Clean the mounting hole and surrounding area of dirt, rust, and debris with a rag; remove loose corrosion for a flush fit.
- Align the new BMP 027 stud with the mounting hole and push it in by hand until seated. If it resists, place a suitably sized socket over the bumper head and tap gently with a rubber mallet to press it fully into place.
- Close the door slowly to check for proper contact, noise reduction, and alignment. If necessary, reposition or slightly adjust the bumper for an even fit.
- Confirm the bumper is secure and the door closes smoothly without rubbing or excessive play.
