This 4-piece Glass Run Channel kit (left and right hand) provides a direct replacement solution to guide and seal side window glass in the door frame. The channels support smooth glass travel, reduce wind noise and vibration, and help prevent water intrusion and interior damage. Supplied as a complete left/right pair, this kit restores proper glass alignment and sealing performance for vehicles that require the GRK 1111 73 specification. Durable, flexible material and reinforced backing ensure long life and reliable operation, while the design enables straightforward replacement to return worn or damaged channels to factory-like function.
Features:
- Includes left and right hand channels — 4-piece kit compatible with vehicles requiring GRK 1111 73 specification.
- Constructed from durable, flexible sealing compound with reinforced backing for long-lasting support.
- Guides and secures window glass to reduce rattles, wind noise, and vibration.
- Helps prevent water intrusion and interior damage by restoring a tight seal.
- Direct-replacement design simplifies restoration and maintenance of door window function.
- Suitable for restoration projects or routine replacement to improve window operation and appearance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes (per door pair)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, lower the window (if possible) and disconnect the battery if required by vehicle for safety.
- Remove the interior door panel: remove screws, clips and any trim pieces; use a trim removal tool to avoid damage.
- Carefully detach the vapor barrier if present and set aside without tearing.
- Slowly raise or lower the glass to access mounting points; support the glass with masking tape or a helper so it cannot fall.
- Remove any window stops, bolts, or retainers holding the old glass run channels in place using appropriate sockets or screwdrivers.
- Gently pry out the old channels from the door frame, working from one end to the other. Use pliers for stubborn sections and take care not to damage the door paint or inner lip.
- Clean the channel mounting area thoroughly with a rag and mild cleaner; remove old adhesive, debris, and corrosion. Allow to dry.
- Apply a light coating of silicone lubricant to the new channels and the window edge to ease installation and prevent pinching.
- Position the new channel into the door frame, starting at one end and pressing it fully into the retainers; ensure correct orientation for left/right pieces.
- Reinstall any retainers, bolts or window stops, then carefully lower the glass into the new channel and check for smooth travel and correct alignment.
- Adjust glass position or regulators if necessary so the window seals evenly along the run. Tighten mounting hardware to vehicle specifications.
- Reattach the vapor barrier and reinstall the door panel and trim. Test window operation several times to confirm quiet, smooth movement and proper sealing.
