The GRB 1110 64 Glass Run Channel is a direct-replacement door window channel designed for either left- or right-hand installation. It guides and seals the window glass within the door, preventing wind noise, water intrusion, and glass vibration while restoring smooth up-and-down operation. Built from a durable rubber compound with a reinforced backing, this channel resists weathering and retains its shape for long-term reliability. Ideal for restorations or routine maintenance, it provides a secure, low-friction track that improves sealing, reduces rattles, and helps protect interior trim from wear.
Features:
- Left- or right-hand application — fits either side door window installation.
- Durable rubber compound with reinforced backing for long-lasting shape retention.
- Guides and seals the window glass to reduce wind noise and prevent water intrusion.
- Helps eliminate glass vibration and rattles for smoother operation.
- Straightforward replacement for worn or cracked original channels during restorations.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Disconnect the vehicle battery (if equipped with power windows) and lower the window glass partially to an accessible position.
- Remove the interior door panel: detach trim clips and screws, carefully pry panel away, and disconnect any electrical connectors.
- Peel back or remove the vapor barrier or inner door insulation as needed to access the channel mounting area.
- If present, remove any retainers or screws securing the bottom of the old glass run channel and carefully lower the glass to clear the channel.
- Carefully pull out the old glass run channel from the window frame, trimming or cutting only if necessary to free stuck sections.
- Clean the channel mounting area thoroughly with shop towels to remove dirt, adhesive residue, or rust; allow to dry.
- Apply a light coat of silicone lubricant or window grease into the new channel to ease installation and reduce friction.
- Insert the new GRB 1110 64 channel into the door frame starting at the top corner and work it into the track, ensuring it seats evenly along the full length. Trim any excess if required by fitment.
- Reposition the glass into the new channel, confirm smooth movement up and down, and make any minor adjustments to ensure a proper seal and alignment.
- Reinstall any retainers, the vapor barrier, and the interior door panel. Reconnect electrical connectors and test the window operation several times to confirm proper fit and sealing.
- Perform a final inspection for leaks and wind noise; adjust as needed and re-tighten all fasteners.
