The Precision Glass Run Channel (GRB 1110 73) is a left- or right-hand replacement window channel designed to guide and seal a vehicle's door glass. It restores proper window travel, reduces wind noise and water intrusion, and protects the door interior from moisture-related damage. This direct-replacement channel is intended for compatible vehicles — verify the part number and fitment before purchase — and provides a durable, reliable solution during restoration or routine maintenance.
Features:
- Left- or right-hand application — fits vehicles that accept part number GRB 1110 73 (verify fitment).
- Seals and guides the window to reduce wind noise, rattles, and water leaks.
- Made from weather-resistant materials for long-lasting durability and consistent performance.
- Direct-replacement design for straightforward restoration or repair of worn channels.
- Improves window alignment and smoothness of operation for restored or maintained doors.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45 minutes - 2 hours
Instructions:
- Confirm fitment: check the vehicle and part number GRB 1110 73 to ensure compatibility and determine left or right side.
- Prepare the vehicle: park on level ground, lower the window to a safe working position if possible, and disconnect the battery if removing powered components.
- Remove the door panel: use the trim removal tool and screwdrivers to remove screws and clips, carefully detaching the panel and any electrical connectors, then set the panel aside.
- Access the old channel: peel back the vapor barrier if present and locate the glass run channel inside the door.
- Lower or tilt the glass as needed: support or secure the glass with masking tape if necessary to prevent dropping while removing the channel.
- Remove the old channel: gently pry or unclip the worn channel from its mounting locations and slide it out from the window opening.
- Clean the area: remove dirt, adhesive residue, and corrosion from the channel mounting surface and wipe clean with a rag.
- Lubricate and install the new channel: apply a light lubricant or soapy water to the new channel lips, then slide and seat the channel into the door opening ensuring full engagement along its length.
- Test fit the glass: carefully raise and lower the window to confirm smooth operation and proper sealing; adjust as needed for alignment.
- Reassemble the door: reinstall the vapor barrier, reconnect electrical connectors, reattach the door panel, and secure all fasteners.
- Final check: test the window several times to verify quiet operation, proper sealing, and no binding.
