Instructions:
- Remove the interior door panel and any trim necessary to access the inner door cavity and the glass run channel.
- Carefully lower or raise the window glass to expose the channel ends; use tape to secure the glass in a safe position if needed.
- Detach any clips or retainers and carefully remove the old glass run channel from the door frame, taking care not to drop or damage the glass.
- Clean the channel area and track thoroughly with a rag and isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris.
- Apply a light coat of silicone spray or soapy water to the new channel to aid installation and smooth operation.
- Insert the new channel into the door frame starting at one end and work it into place along the full length, ensuring it seats evenly and any retaining lips engage.
- Gently tap or press the channel into final position with a rubber mallet or trim tool if necessary; avoid overstressing the rubber.
- Lower and raise the window several times to ensure the glass seats properly in the new channel and moves smoothly without binding.
- Reinstall the water shield, door panel, and any removed trim. Test for proper sealing and check for wind noise or leaks once installation is complete.
