[More Info]
The Precision Glass Run Channel GRB 1120 73 is an OE-style left or right hand replacement channel that secures the door glass, reduces wind noise, and prevents water intrusion. Made from weather-resistant rubber with an integrated stiffening core, this channel restores proper window alignment and smooth operation. Ideal for restoration and maintenance, it helps eliminate rattles and seal the window-to-door interface for long-term durability and reliable performance.
Features:
  • Left or right hand compatibility for GRB 1120 73 applications.
  • Constructed from durable, weather-resistant rubber with a reinforced core.
  • Secures window glass to reduce vibration, wind noise, and rattling.
  • Helps prevent water intrusion and protects interior trim from moisture damage.
  • OEM-style fit for straightforward replacement and correct window alignment.
  • Designed for restoration or routine door seal maintenance and long-term durability.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Trim panel removal tool or flat screwdriver (protected)
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Shop towels
  • Rubbing alcohol or mild cleaner
  • Silicone lubricant or window channel grease
  • Adhesive or weatherstrip adhesive (if required)
  • Gloves
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on a level surface, lower the window glass partially so you can access the channel area, and disconnect the negative battery terminal if necessary for safety.
  2. Remove the interior door panel: pry out any caps, remove screws, and use a trim tool to release the clips. Set panel and fasteners aside.
  3. Carefully peel back or remove any vapor barrier or insulation to expose the glass run channel and door frame.
  4. Lower or raise the glass to a position that allows access to the channel retainer clips; use tape or a helper to hold the glass if needed.
  5. Remove the old glass run channel by disengaging retaining clips or adhesive. Use pliers for stubborn clips and trim tool to ease the channel out without damaging the door frame.
  6. Clean the channel mounting area with rubbing alcohol or a mild cleaner and wipe dry. Remove old adhesive residue and loose debris.
  7. Test-fit the new GRB 1120 73 channel on the door frame to confirm orientation (left vs right) and fit. Apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive where specified by vehicle instructions, if required.
  8. Install the new channel by pressing it into the door frame groove, engaging any metal stiffeners or clips. Reposition the glass into the new channel, apply silicone lubricant or window grease along the run to ensure smooth movement.
  9. Cycle the window up and down several times to seat the glass and confirm smooth operation and correct alignment. Reinstall the vapor barrier, door panel, and all fasteners.
  10. Check for wind noise and water sealing by running the window and, if possible, performing a water test. Make minor adjustments as needed.
