Top-and-back glass run channel engineered to guide and seal door glass in vehicles that use frameless (no metal frame) door glass. This left- or right-hand channel replaces worn or damaged rubber runs to restore smooth window operation, reduce wind noise, prevent water intrusion, and protect the glass edge from wear. Made from durable EPDM-style rubber with a precision profile for reliable, long-lasting fitment and easy installation during restoration or routine door maintenance.
Features:
- Designed for vehicles with frameless (no metal-framed) door glass — top and back channel, left or right hand (GRB 1110 60).
- High-quality EPDM-style rubber resists weathering, ozone, and temperature extremes for long life.
- Guides and cushions the door glass to reduce vibration, rattles, and wind noise.
- Prevents water entry and protects the glass edge from chipping and wear.
- Direct replacement for worn channels — ideal for restoration or routine door repair.
- Simple retrofit design for straightforward removal of old channel and seating of new piece.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes per door
Instructions:
- Lower the window glass to a position that allows access to the top and back run area (partially up may be required).
- Remove the interior door panel and any vapor barrier carefully to expose the window channel area.
- If present, release and remove the old glass run by pulling it out of the door channel from the top; use a trim tool or pliers as needed and cut away any bonded sections with a utility knife.
- Clean the channel and surrounding areas with rubbing alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive residue, and old lubricant; allow to dry.
- Apply a light coat of silicone spray or soapy water to the new run channel to ease installation and seating of the glass.
- Starting at one end, press the new top/back run into the door channel profile, working along its length until fully seated. Use masking tape to hold sections in place temporarily if needed.
- Carefully raise and lower the glass several times to ensure smooth travel and proper alignment within the new channel; adjust seating if binding occurs.
- Reinstall the vapor barrier and interior door panel, secure all fasteners, and perform a final check for leaks and noise with the window cycled several times.
