Installation / Application:

Instructions:
- Open and support the tailgate fully. Remove any trim or retaining clips that block access to the old seal.
- Carefully peel away the old weatherstrip and remove any remaining adhesive, grime, and old sealant from the mounting channels using a solvent and clean cloth.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip sections into place to confirm orientation and fit; identify top, bottom, and corner pieces.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting channel or to the back of the weatherstrip as recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Starting at the center top of the tailgate, press the new weatherstrip into the channel and work outward toward each corner. Use consistent pressure to seat the seal fully.
- Trim any excess material with a utility knife for a neat fit. For corners, ensure seals butt or overlap as specified by the kit layout.
- Temporarily secure the seal with masking tape or clamps while adhesive cures (follow adhesive cure times).
- Remove any tape, reattach trim/retaining clips, close and cycle the tailgate to check for proper alignment and sealing. Adjust if needed to avoid binding.
