A complete weatherstrip seal kit engineered to restore and protect vehicle body openings from water, wind and road noise. This kit provides OEM-style sealing performance for door, window and trunk openings, helping preserve interior trim, prevent leaks, and reduce vibration and wind intrusion. Made from durable rubber compounds with long-lasting flexibility and resistance to weathering, the kit is ideal for restorations or replacements where reliable sealing and quiet cabin performance are required. Easy to test-fit and install with common hand tools, it streamlines weatherproofing during a full interior or exterior rebuild.
Features:
- Complete weatherstrip kit provides a full set of seals for a full restoration or replacement job.
- Durable rubber compound resists cracking, shrinking and UV degradation for long service life.
- Designed to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise and protect interior trim from moisture damage.
- Easy to install with common hand tools; many pieces are direct-fit or can be trimmed for a precise fit.
- Ideal for restoration projects, routine maintenance or replacing worn, flattened, or brittle seals.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 1–3 hours (varies by vehicle and quantity of seals replaced)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and open the doors, trunk or hood as needed for access.
- Carefully remove interior trim panels and any retainers covering the old weatherstripping using a trim tool or flat screwdriver.
- Peel away old seals and scrape any remaining adhesive or gasket material from mating surfaces; clean thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and allow to dry.
- Test-fit each new seal in its mounting location to confirm orientation and length; trim excess with scissors or a utility knife if necessary.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the flange or channel where required (follow adhesive manufacturer instructions).
- Press the new weatherstrip into place, working along its length and ensuring continuous contact; use a rubber mallet or your palms to seat the seal evenly.
- Reinstall trim pieces and fasteners, then close and open doors/trunk several times to confirm proper alignment and compression.
- Allow adhesive to cure for the recommended time before exposing the vehicle to moisture or heavy use.
