Features:
- Designed for models equipped with chrome weatherstrip trim (CWK 1111 78).
- Made from a high-quality, weather-resistant rubber compound to resist ozone, UV and temperature extremes.
- Restores original sealing performance to prevent leaks, drafts and wind noise.
- Protects chrome trim by providing a secure, cushioned interface.
- Complete kit includes all primary seals needed for a proper replacement and restoration.
- Engineered for reliable fit and long-term durability with simple installation.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours (vehicle dependent)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and fully open the affected door/window area to access the weatherstrip channel.
- Carefully remove the chrome trim (if applicable) using a plastic trim tool and suitable fastener tools to avoid damaging finish.
- Peel away the old weatherstrip and remove any retained adhesive, clips or debris from the channel. Use a razor blade carefully for stubborn material.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and allow it to dry completely.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip pieces to verify fit and orientation before applying any adhesive.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead to the mounting surface or the weatherstrip backing per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Press the new weatherstrip firmly into the channel, working in short sections and using masking tape to hold sections in place while adhesive sets. Reinstall chrome trim, aligning clips and fasteners.
- Allow adhesive to cure for the recommended time, remove masking tape, and cycle doors/windows to confirm a proper seal and fit. Make any minor adjustments as needed.
