Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and open the door, trunk, or hood being worked on.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: peel away rubber and remove any retaining clips or adhesive residue using a trim tool and pliers.
- Clean the mounting flange thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oil; allow to dry.
- Dry-fit each new seal to confirm orientation and length; trim excess with a utility knife or scissors if necessary.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead to the flange or the seal per adhesive manufacturer instructions; press the seal into place starting at one end and working toward the other.
- Use masking tape or clips to hold the seal in position while adhesive sets (follow adhesive cure times).
- Reinstall any retaining clips or hardware and check door/trunk/hood for proper alignment and smooth operation.
- Allow full adhesive cure time before exposing to moisture or heavy use; trim or adjust as needed for a perfect fit.
