Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, disconnect battery if removing powered trim; protect adjacent paint with masking tape.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip and any retaining trim; use a trim tool to avoid gouging the channel and pliers for stubborn sections.
- Clean the sealing channel and surrounding metal thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or appropriate cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt and sealant.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip pieces to confirm orientation and fit; trim any excess with a utility knife if necessary.
- Apply a thin, even layer of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or to the seal per the adhesive manufacturer's directions (allow tack time if specified).
- Seat the new weatherstrip into the groove, pressing firmly and evenly along the full length to ensure full engagement with the trim groove and beltline.
- Use masking tape to hold sections in place while adhesive cures if needed; reinstall any trim or moldings that were removed.
- Allow the adhesive to cure per the product instructions before exposing to moisture or driving; perform a water test to confirm a proper seal.
