Complete Weatherstrip Seal Kit for models with black weatherstrip trim (1pc style vent seals CWK 1115 85). This kit renews the vent window seals to stop water intrusion, wind noise and drafts while restoring proper glass alignment. Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber, it provides a long-lasting OEM-style fit that improves comfort and protects interior trim during restoration or routine maintenance. Easy to fit with basic tools, the seals restore function and appearance to older vehicles that use black trim vent seals.
Features:
- Fits models equipped with black weatherstrip trim using 1-piece style vent seals (CWK 1115 85).
- OEM-style vent seal designed to prevent water leaks, wind noise and drafts around vent windows.
- Made from weather- and ozone-resistant EPDM rubber for long-term durability and flexibility.
- Restoration-grade replacement: restores proper glass alignment and interior protection.
- Simple retrofit — contours to factory channels for a secure, consistent fit.
- UV-resistant material resists cracking and hardening for reliable seasonal performance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, lower the vent window (if applicable) and disconnect any surrounding trim as needed to access the old seal.
- Carefully remove the old vent seal by prying with a plastic trim tool; avoid damaging the channel and surrounding paint.
- Clean the channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or a suitable cleaner; remove all old adhesive and debris and allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new vent seal in the channel to confirm orientation and length. Trim any excess with a utility knife or scissors for a snug fit.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or seal per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Press the new seal into the channel starting at one end, working along the length and ensuring the seal seats fully into the channel; use gentle heat if needed to improve flexibility for a tight fit.
- Reinstall any trim or fasteners removed earlier. Allow adhesive to cure per directions (typically 1–24 hours) before exposing to water or closing windows fully.
- Perform a water test and check for wind noise; make small adjustments or add sealant to any minor gaps if required.
