Instructions:
- Remove old weatherstrip and windlace, taking care not to damage the mounting surface.
- Clean the flange and surrounding area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip around the opening to confirm length and fit; mark any trimming points.
- If adhesive is recommended, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting surface and/or the weatherstrip per adhesive instructions.
- Position the weatherstrip starting at one end, pressing firmly into place. Work around the opening, keeping the seal aligned.
- Install the cab windlace into the edge of the weatherstrip using needle-nose pliers or by hand, tucking it into the channel for a tight finish.
- Trim any excess material with a utility knife or scissors, ensuring clean edges at ends and corners.
- Use a rubber roller or firm cloth to press the weatherstrip firmly against the mounting surface and help adhesive bond.
- Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer instructions (if used), then check door/cab closure and adjust as needed.
