The CWK 1111 49 Precision Complete Weatherstrip Seal Kit is engineered for vehicles that use a weatherstrip trim groove and includes cab windlace for a secure, factory-style fit. It seals the cab perimeter to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise and vibration, and protect interior trim from damage. Made for durable, long-term performance and straightforward installation, this kit is an ideal replacement during restorations or maintenance to restore original fit and finish.
Features:
- Fits models with a weatherstrip trim groove (CWK 1111 49); includes cab windlace for trim-groove installations.
- High-quality EPDM rubber main seal provides a reliable, weather-resistant barrier.
- Included braided cab windlace secures the weatherstrip into the trim groove without visible fasteners.
- Reduces water leaks, dust ingress, wind noise and vibration for a quieter, drier cabin.
- UV, ozone and temperature resistant for long-lasting performance.
- Designed for restoration and replacement applications to restore factory fit and finish.
- Easy to install with common hand tools and basic adhesive where required.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–90 minutes (per door/cab edge; full vehicle 1–3 hours depending on scope)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a flat surface and open the door(s) or access the cab edge where the weatherstrip will be replaced.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip and any remaining windlace. Use a trim tool or protected screwdriver to avoid scratching paint and trim.
- Clean the channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt and grease. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the channel to confirm orientation and length. Trim the seal to length if necessary, leaving a small overlap for corners.
- If adhesive is recommended, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip cement to the channel or to the seal per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions. Avoid excess adhesive.
- Press the weatherstrip into the groove, starting from one end and working toward the other. Make sure the main bulb and flange seat evenly against the body surface.
- Install the braided cab windlace by feeding it into the trim groove alongside the weatherstrip. Use a rubber roller or small block to press the windlace fully into the groove so it locks the seal in place.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive and allow the adhesive to cure per manufacturer's directions before closing the door or exposing to moisture.
- Check the seal for even compression and adjust as needed. Operate the door(s) to verify smooth closing and proper sealing.
