Instructions:
- Open the door and inspect how the old weatherstrip is seated; remove interior trim if needed to access the seal channel.
- Carefully pull out the old weatherstrip and any retaining clips; use pliers or a trim tool to avoid damaging the door edge.
- Clean the sealing channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove dirt and old adhesive.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip along the door edge to verify orientation and length. Trim excess with a utility knife if necessary.
- If recommended for your vehicle or if the fit feels loose, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or seal as directed by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Press the new weatherstrip into place starting at one end and working around the door, ensuring the seal fully seats into the channel and any molded corners are properly aligned.
- Reinstall any retaining clips or interior trim panels removed earlier. Close the door and check for even compression and smooth operation.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product instructions (if used). Recheck after a short test drive for settling and make minor adjustments if necessary.
