An 8-piece left and right hand beltline molding and glass run channel kit designed to restore correct window fitment, protect the door finish, and seal the glass against weather and vibration. The kit replaces worn or cracked channels and moldings to re-establish smooth window operation, prevent water intrusion, and reduce wind noise. Durable extruded rubber components with engineered retaining strips offer long-lasting performance and easy, OEM-style alignment for classic and restored vehicles.
Features:
- Left and right hand 8-piece kit for full beltline and glass run replacement
- Precision-extruded rubber for consistent shape and long-term resilience
- Metal-reinforced retaining edges provide secure fit and resist deformation
- Restores proper window alignment, reducing wind noise and rattles
- Protects paint and trim by preventing glass contact with the door frame
- Designed for straightforward installation—ideal for restoration or maintenance
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30 minutes - 2 hours (per door, depending on vehicle and experience)
Instructions:
- Remove the door panel and any inner weather seals or run channels as required by your vehicle to access the beltline and glass run area.
- Carefully pull out the old molding and channel pieces. Use a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching paint. Cut any bonded sections with a utility knife if needed.
- Clean the channel and surrounding flange thoroughly with solvent and a clean rag to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit each new piece to confirm orientation (left/right, top/bottom) and fit. Trim any excess material for a precise fit.
- Lightly lubricate the channel lips with soapy water or a silicone rubber lubricant to ease installation and prevent pinching.
- Align the new glass run or beltline molding and press the metal retaining edge into the channel, working from one end to the other. Use a soft rubber mallet or your hands to seat the molding fully.
- Secure any clips, screws, or end-caps removed earlier. If adhesive is used by your vehicle, apply a thin bead and clamp or tape until set.
- Operate the window up and down several times to verify smooth travel and proper sealing. Reinstall the door panel and final trim pieces.
