Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and lower windows (if applicable) to access molding ends.
- Carefully remove any fasteners, screws, or retainers holding the old molding using screwdrivers and pliers.
- Use a trim removal tool to pry off the old molding; take care to avoid damaging paint or the channel.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or trim cleaner and a lint-free cloth. Remove old adhesive residue and dirt.
- Test-fit the new molding along the beltline to confirm orientation and alignment before final installation.
- If clips or retainers are separate, install them onto the molding per their positions. Use masking tape to mark alignment points if helpful.
- Starting at one end, press the molding into the channel, engaging clips or retainers. Use a rubber mallet with a protective block to seat the molding evenly if necessary.
- Trim any excess at the ends to match the door/window opening and reinstall any screws or fasteners removed earlier.
- Wipe down the installed molding, inspect fitment and gaps, and operate the window/door to confirm there is no interference.
