Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, roll windows up, and disconnect the negative battery terminal if working near powered components.
- Carefully remove existing beltline molding: use a plastic trim tool to pry up trim clips or a screwdriver for fasteners; retain any reusable clips or screws.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new left and right moldings to confirm orientation and alignment with body seams, door gaps and mounting holes.
- If the kit uses clips, insert retained/new clips into the molding or vehicle channel per the kit layout; for adhesive-backed styles, apply recommended bonding agent or remove liner as directed.
- Align the molding at one end, press into place along the channel, and engage clips or fasteners sequentially. Use masking tape to hold temporary alignment if needed.
- Secure any screws, rivets, or fasteners to factory torque/specifications; gently tap the molding into place with a rubber mallet to seat it evenly.
- Inspect gaps and seal lines for uniform fit. Clean any fingerprints or installation debris. Reinstall interior trim panels if removed and reconnect the battery if disconnected.
- Allow any adhesive or sealant to cure per product instructions before washing the vehicle or driving in heavy rain.
