This 2-piece door weatherstrip seal kit (left and right) is designed to restore a tight, factory-style seal on 1947 GM vehicles. The kit replaces worn or cracked door seals to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise, and protect interior trim and finishes. Made from durable weather-resistant rubber, the seals deliver long-lasting compression and reliable performance for restoration and maintenance projects, while being straightforward to fit into original door channels for a clean, secure finish.
Features:

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old weatherstrip by pulling it out of the channel; use a trim tool to ease stubborn sections free.
- Clean the door channel and surrounding surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris; let dry.
- Test-fit the new seal pieces into the door channel to confirm orientation and length; trim any excess material with a utility knife for a precise fit.
- If adhesive is recommended or required, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or to the seal as instructed by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Press the new weatherstrip firmly into the channel, starting at one end and working toward the other; use masking tape to hold the seal in place if needed while adhesive sets.
- Close the door and check for proper compression and alignment; make minor adjustments as necessary to ensure an even, continuous seal.
- Allow adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions before exposing the seal to moisture or heavy use.
