Precision Roof Rail Weatherstrip Seal, Left and Right Hand, Pair (RWP 1110 69) is a direct-fit replacement roof rail sealing pair designed to restore the roof-to-body sealing surface on classic vehicles. These left and right weatherstrip rails secure and align the roof edge weatherseal, preventing water intrusion, reducing wind noise, and protecting interior trim and headliners. Constructed from a durable, weather-resistant rubber compound, the seals resist ozone, UV and temperature-related degradation for long-term reliability. Designed for restoration and maintenance projects, these rails are engineered for a clean fit and reliable sealing performance — verify vehicle fitment before purchase to ensure compatibility.
Features:
- Left and right hand pair provides a full roof rail sealing replacement.
- Made from a durable, weather-resistant rubber compound to resist UV, ozone and temperature breakdown.
- Restores proper roof-to-body sealing to prevent water leaks and reduce wind noise.
- Precisely formed profile ensures correct alignment with existing roof channels and trim.
- Easy to install with basic trim tools; ideal for restoration or replacement applications.
- Helps protect interior headliner and trim from moisture damage during vehicle preservation.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours
Instructions:
- Remove interior trim and any retaining clips necessary to access the roof rail channel according to vehicle-specific procedures.
- Carefully pull out the old weatherstrip rails and remove any old adhesive and debris from the channel.
- Clean the channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner and allow it to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new left and right rails to confirm orientation and fitment; trim excess if necessary for a perfect fit.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or back of the new rail per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Starting at one end, press the new rail into the channel, working along its length and ensuring the profile seats evenly into the channel.
- Use masking tape to hold the rail in place if required and allow the adhesive to cure for the recommended time (typically 24 hours).
- Reinstall any removed trim and clips, check the seal for uniform contact, and test for leaks/fitment after adhesive cures.
