Precision Upper Door Weatherstrip (DWB 1111 82) is a precision-molded upper door seal designed for left or right hand installation. It seals the upper door opening to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise and vibration, and protect interior trim and glass edges. Built from a durable rubber compound for long-lasting compression set resistance, it restores proper door fit and improves overall cabin comfort while being simple to install as a direct replacement part.
Features:
- Fits left or right hand upper door openings (DWB 1111 82 configuration).
- Made from a durable, precision-molded rubber compound for long life and reliable sealing.
- Seals against water, dust and wind noise while cushioning the window edge.
- Direct replacement to restore original door fit and operation.
- Easy to install with common hand tools; designed for restoration and maintenance projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-45 minutes per door
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, lower the window slightly if applicable, and disconnect the battery if you will remove the door panel.
- Remove any interior trim or clips necessary to access the upper door channel and the old weatherstrip.
- Carefully peel out the old weatherstrip and remove any residual adhesive or debris from the channel with a clean cloth and rubbing alcohol. Allow surface to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip (DWB 1111 82) into the channel to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess only if necessary, using a sharp utility knife.
- If the replacement part requires adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of manufacturer-recommended weatherstrip adhesive to the channel per adhesive instructions. If it is a press-fit type, no adhesive may be needed.
- Press the new weatherstrip into place, starting at one end and working along the length to ensure full engagement. Use a trim tool or your fingers to seat the bulb and flange securely.
- Reinstall any removed trim or the door panel, cycle the window and close the door to check for proper fit, alignment and sealing.
- Allow adhesive to cure fully per adhesive instructions before exposing to water or heavy use.
