A direct-fit rear window weatherstrip designed for sedan and coupe GM applications that use chrome trim inserted into body clips (WBL DB395). This seal prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise, and secures the chrome trim to the body flange. Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber, it restores the factory fit and finish while resisting ozone, UV and temperature-related degradation for long-term reliability and easy installation.
Features:
  • Fits GM sedan and coupe models requiring WBL DB395 rear window weatherstrip; works with chrome trim that inserts into body clips.
  • Constructed from durable, weather-resistant EPDM rubber for long service life and resistance to UV and ozone.
  • Seals rear window to prevent water leaks, reduce wind noise, and keep out dust and drafts.
  • Designed to accept factory-style chrome trim that inserts into body clips for an authentic restoration look.
  • Easy to install with basic trim tools; perfect for restoration or replacement applications to restore factory fitment.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Flat and Phillips screwdrivers
  • Plastic trim removal tool
  • Rubber mallet or block of wood
  • Isopropyl alcohol and clean rags
  • Mild soapy water spray
  • Optional weatherstrip adhesive/sealant
Instructions:
  1. Carefully remove the interior trim and any chrome molding securing the rear window trim clips using a trim removal tool and screwdrivers as needed.
  2. Gently pry out and remove the old weatherstrip and any remaining clips or adhesive from the channel.
  3. Clean the window flange and channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, old sealant, and oils; allow to dry.
  4. Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the channel to confirm alignment and clip locations before final installation.
  5. If using adhesive, apply a thin bead to the flange as recommended by the adhesive manufacturer; otherwise proceed without adhesive if the application is clip-retained.
  6. Start at one corner and press the new weatherstrip into the channel, working around the window. Use a rubber mallet or block of wood to seat the seal evenly without pinching.
  7. Reinstall the chrome trim so its insert engages the weatherstrip and seats into the body clips; ensure clips are engaged and trim sits flush.
  8. Replace interior trim pieces and give the adhesive the recommended cure time if used. Check for gaps and test for leaks by lightly spraying water around the sealed area.
