A precision-molded rear window weatherstrip engineered for 2- and 4-door sedans to restore a watertight, windproof seal around the rear glass. This weatherstrip replaces aged, cracked, or compressed rubber to prevent water intrusion, reduce road noise, and improve cabin comfort. Built from a durable, weather-resistant rubber compound with an OEM-style profile, it provides reliable long-term performance and a straightforward installation for restoration or maintenance projects.
Features:
- Fits most 2- and 4-door sedans as a rear window weatherstrip (WBL DB3005).
- Made from a premium, weather-resistant rubber compound for long-lasting durability.
- Seals rear glass to prevent water leaks, drafts, and wind noise.
- OEM-style profile for accurate fit and appearance on restoration projects.
- Easy to install with common hand tools; designed for replacement applications.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and work in a shaded, dry area. Wear gloves and safety glasses.
- Carefully remove any interior trim or clips that secure the old weatherstrip using a trim tool or screwdriver.
- Peel out the old weatherstrip. Use a utility knife to cut stubborn sections if needed, taking care not to damage the window or channel.
- Thoroughly clean the window channel and surrounding surfaces with rubbing alcohol or adhesive remover to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residue. Let dry completely.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip along the channel to verify orientation and fit. Trim any excess length if necessary, leaving a small overlap per vehicle requirements.
- Apply a thin, even bead of automotive weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or the weatherstrip lip as recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Press the weatherstrip into place along the channel, working from one side to the other. Make sure the seal seats fully into the channel and the profile aligns with the glass.
- Use masking tape to hold the weatherstrip in position while the adhesive cures (follow adhesive cure times).
- Reinstall any trim or clips removed earlier. Remove masking tape after adhesive has set and perform a final inspection.
- Test for proper seating by checking for gaps and, if possible, perform a light water test to confirm there are no leaks.
