A direct-fit rear window weatherstrip engineered for 2-door hardtop models that use chrome trim inserted into body clips (WCR DB3129 application). This seal provides a secure, water- and wind-resistant barrier around the rear glass, preventing leaks, reducing road noise, and protecting interior trim from moisture damage. Molded from a durable rubber compound for long-lasting performance, the design replicates OE fit and function to restore proper sealing and trim fitment on classic and restored hardtop vehicles.
Features:
- Fits 2-door hardtop models with rear window chrome trim that inserts into body clips (WCR DB3129 application).
- Durable rubber compound resists weathering, ozone and UV for long service life.
- Designed to work with chrome rear window trim that seats into body clips for a secure fit.
- Restores factory sealing to prevent water intrusion, wind noise and interior damage.
- Direct-fit replacement for worn or damaged seals — no custom trimming required in most applications.
- Easy to install with basic hand tools; ideal for restoration and maintenance projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Remove the chrome rear window trim carefully using a trim tool or protected screwdriver to avoid scratching.
- Pull out the old weatherstrip and remove any retaining clips; use pliers if necessary to extract damaged clips.
- Clean the pinchweld/channel and surrounding metal with rubbing alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt and corrosion.
- Inspect and replace any broken or corroded body clips with new clips to ensure proper retention.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip into the channel and align it with the chrome trim seating area to confirm fit.
- If required by your vehicle, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive in the channel per adhesive instructions.
- Press the new seal into the channel, ensuring the bulb and flange seat fully; install or engage body clips as needed.
- Reinstall the chrome trim by carefully pressing it into the weatherstrip and body clips until fully seated.
- Check the seal around the entire window for even seating and correct any high or low spots. Allow adhesive to cure if used before driving.
