Precision Rear Window Weatherstrip Seal, Without Trim Groove WBL DB4963/64 is an OEM-style replacement weatherstrip designed to seal and secure the rear windshield, preventing water intrusion, wind noise, and glass movement. Suitable for a range of classic and later-model vehicles (verify fitment by part number), it is molded from durable EPDM rubber that resists ozone, UV and temperature extremes. The without-trim-groove profile provides a clean, restoration-ready appearance while aligning and fastening the glass to the body for long-term reliability and reduced vibration. Ideal for restoration and maintenance, this weatherstrip offers durable protection with straightforward installation.
Features:
  • Designed as an OEM-style replacement rear window weatherstrip (verify vehicle fitment by part number WBL DB4963/64).
  • Made from durable EPDM rubber for resistance to ozone, UV, and temperature extremes.
  • Without trim groove profile for a clean, restoration-ready appearance.
  • Seals rear glass to prevent leaks, wind noise, and glass movement.
  • Helps reduce vibration and rattles for improved ride comfort.
  • Easy to install with common hand tools; can be used for restorations or repairs.
  • Corrosion-resistant and long-lasting—ideal for maintenance and restoration projects.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Trim removal tool or flat-blade screwdriver
  • Plastic or rubber mallet
  • Razor blade or utility knife
  • Cleaning solvent (isopropyl alcohol)
  • Lint-free cloth
  • Weatherstrip lubricant or dish soap
  • Weatherstrip adhesive (optional)
Instructions:
  1. Confirm part number and fitment against the vehicle before beginning.
  2. Carefully remove interior trim and any molding around the rear window to access the existing seal.
  3. Remove the old weatherstrip by gently prying it out of the channel; cut into sections if necessary to ease removal.
  4. Thoroughly clean the glass edge and channel with solvent and a lint-free cloth; remove old adhesive and debris.
  5. Dry-fit the new weatherstrip around the glass and frame to verify orientation and length; trim excess with a razor if required.
  6. Apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel only if recommended for your vehicle. For many applications, a lubricant (soapy water or dedicated weatherstrip lubricant) is sufficient.
  7. Starting at the top center of the window, press the weatherstrip into the channel and work outward toward each corner, using a rubber mallet or your palm to seat the seal fully.
  8. Ensure the seal is uniformly seated with no twists or pinches; align ends and make clean cuts where needed for a tight joint.
  9. Allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer instructions (if used), then reinstall interior trim and molding.
  10. Perform a water test (hose or careful runoff) to check for leaks and re-seat or adjust as necessary.
